Mechanical Engineer

POSITION DUTIES:
1. Mechanical (Plumbing, Piping, HVAC) Engineer
2. Lead complex Design/Engineering of Commercial Plumbing, Piping
3. HVAC Systems design and review
4. HVAC System load Calculations and Engineering
5. Go on job site walks to ensure the equipment is installed properly
6. Equipment pre-commissioning and testing
7. Coordination with equipment suppliers
8. Building Information Modeling to predict/identify conflicts/clashes
9. Piping design and reviews.

Travel: Domestic travel to conduct site walks in the San Francisco Bay area, approximately 20% of the time, as is normal and customary for the position.

This position can be done from a home office, anywhere within normal commuting distance of HQ (Santa Clara, CA) in order to serve clients in the Bay area.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1. BS or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
2. 2 years relevant experience as Mechanical Engineer, Project Manager relating to ME, or
closely related. The experience must include the following:
a. BIM Modeling – Revit
b. AutoCAD
c. PIPENET
d. Building Energy Simulation, EnergyPlus,
e. SolidWorks Flow Simulation
f. Material Estimation and Tracking – METS,
g. Benchmark HVAC CAD
h. Autodesk 3ds Max
3. All experience can be gained concurrently.
